The Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011. It is additional funding intended to help raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and 'close the gap' between them and their peers.
Accountability
Ofsted’s school inspections report on the attainment and progress of disadvantaged pupils who attract the Pupil Premium. Schools must publish details of how they spend the funding as well as the effect it has had on the attainment of those pupils that attract it.
